Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes
Dave has his hands full trying to locate and build a 1959 Buick Invicta, which pushes the shop to the max. Later, double trouble comes in form of twin, 2014 Audis looking for styling cues.
Blue Suede Shoes
The Buick Invicta build comes to an end after many challenges, including the most ambitious interior job the shop has ever attempted. Dave gets down and dirty on a 1970 Mustang that arrives to get its driveline unbundled.
Clean Up on Aisle '32
The crew must deal with a '32 Roadster mess when it arrives from another shop with problem after problem. They also try to rescue a '40 Coupe and Dave's dune buggy goes missing.
Just Cuz You Can, Doesn't Mean You Should
A '94 Impala arrives for a modern upgrade, but the shop will have to up their game to bring the police cruiser up to date. A purple '69 Mustang challenges the mechanical know-how of the crew.
Orange is the New Orange
A '54 Ford straight off the farm is transformed into a lean, mean hot rod milk machine, and a new Challenger gets some retro Mopar updates. Will takes a vintage Chopper for a burn and Kevin puts his stamp on the shop.
From Malibu to the Mailboost
A client with a massively powerful '64 Malibu rolls into the shop to get the rest of the outdated car up to speed with what's under the hood. The crew gets a 1973 'Cuda ready to swim and Dave gets behind the wheel of a '72 Datsun.
This is Gonna Be a Challenge
The newest member of the team is put to the test modifying the hood of a 2013 Mr. Norm's Challenger. A '48 Studebaker gets a new rear suspension that will tear the flames right off the truck.
Double Trouble
Muscle car fans rejoice as not one, but two classic '69 Camaros get the full treatment. Then, a green Camaro purchased on the web turns into a bigger project than the customer bargained for.
Fore!
Dave and Kevin tee off on one of the most unique projects to ever come in the shop door. A '67 Nova purchased off the internet comes in with a lot of holes to fill.
Why Wouldn't Ya?
Dave digs out a rusty '68 Chevelle from the bowels of the shop and comes up with a plan to make the car a Bitchin' Ride. A '55 Bel Air cruises into the shop for a chassis swap.
Copper, Copper, Copper
An iconic 1960 Cadillac is brought in for an overhaul, but the client must convince Dave to transform it into a copper hot rod. A rare, one-off 2010 Camaro arrives for repairs and the guys take a look back at '72 Bronco.
The Copper Caddy
A year and a half of metal grinding, panel matching and a whole lot of copper all come together as the "Copper Caddy" is finished for its show-stopping debut.
That's Not an Engine...That's a Kevdogg
A client that scoured the country for a 1952 Pontiac brings one to Dave for a transformation. However, as the guys dig into the car, they find something lurking beneath the metal that threatens the entire build.
Mischief
The '52 Pontiac rumbles to a conclusion as the team struggles to get the trim, paint and upholstery just right. Later, Dave adds custom graphics to a 2014 Challenger.
If Your Car Ain't Turning You On, Get Another One
A 1969 Camaro arrives at the shop and the owner has a very specific mission for Dave and the crew. The upholstery shop is challenged to repair a worn-out convertible top, and Brandon brings his ride to the shop.
The Bitchin' Gasser
The shop takes on a new challenge by building a gasser race car, but only if Dave and the client can agree on a color. Dave preps a 2012 pickup truck for his teen son who had some bad luck with his first car.
We Can Work This Out
After three years of sitting around, Dave gets to work fixing up a '72 Chevy Blazer he purchased to build and sell. Justin thinks Dave needs to rethink his color choices, while Nick struggles to get the engine purring.
It's a Super Car Farm Truck...Duh?
A farm 1955 F-100 arrives from Miami and Dave has ideas for a radical re-design, including a custom, hourglass-shaped bed, extended cab and sleek grill. However, the client has his own opinions on the interior.
The F Five OHHHHHHH
The crew scrambles to get the exhaust, color and engine just right on the Ford F-100. With all the work going into the super car farm truck, Dave hopes the client likes the color he picked for the interior.
It's Like 1929 in Here
Dave goes out on a limb by buying a 1929 Roadster that he wants to fix and flip, but Kevin fears it's another lemon. Kris tackles an engine that won't cooperate and hopes a cheap fix will solve a million-dollar problem.
Back to Basics
Dave started his career in cars working on Volkswagens in his garage, so he purchases a 1965 VW bus to restore, re-upholster and flip. A shop classic, the 1968 Boss Mustang arrives for some upgrades.
De-pimp My Ride, Please!
A 2014 Jaguar with 50 miles and a history of misfortunes arrives at the shop, where its luck is about to change. Handicap golf professional Dennis Walters asks Dave to suicide his doors, repaint the car and de-pimp his ride.
Anyone Know Where I Can Find a Bitchin' Ride?
A client comes all the way from Massachusetts in search of a Bitchin' Ride, and Dave is ready to transform a stock '68 Camaro into one for him.
Nomad? No Way!
A 1955 Nomad that's been through two previous shops is ready for the crew's transformation. Dave and the guys have their hands full getting the warped metal back into the shape, the body work just right and the paint to pop.
New Season, New Headache
A 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 that hasn't seen the road since 1957 gets revived with an original FE engine, modified bumpers and some insights from Kevin. Then, a father and son challenge the team to make their engines roar.
Mint Condition
The Fairlane build comes to a conclusion as the car is body worked, painted, assembled and upholstered. However, getting the old-school engine fired up and working properly makes the team scratch their heads.
On the Road Again
Dave and Kevin take the show on the road to Loveland, CO, where they hope to capture a major award for the Copper Caddy and Mischief, a 1952 Pontiac. But before they can leave, a 1966 Chevelle rolls into the shop.
It Sounds Bitchin', Let's Make It Look Bitchin'
A 1969 Camaro's new owner wants to finish its build with a new front valance, rear spoiler and fresh paint, and Dave's graphic skills shine as he updates the classic ride. A '65 Mustang with mechanical issues gets an upgrade.
The Supernova
Sixteen years in the making, the shop is finally finishing a '67 Nova. Looks can be deceiving, however, as the car looks stock on the outside, but underneath the hood is a unique power station.
The One Where Nick Gets Arrested
The guys set their sights on Pleasanton, CA, where they'll face fierce competition at a major West Coast car show. To get there, they must get a Chevelle road-ready for its owner, that is, if the entire staff doesn't get arrested.
That's One Bitchin' Grocery Getter
A repeat client and collaborator has a new project for the shop, and it's right in Dave's wheelhouse: a 1927 Shadow Rod. Then, Dave has some new tricks up his sleeve for a 2017 Bentley Bentayga's upgrades.
I Blew Your Inheritance on a Bitchin' Ride
A client is hell-bent on getting his dream car, a 1958 Lincoln Continental, built by the shop, so Dave is going big on the build. The upholstery shop updates the seats and headliner on a rare, 1969 McLaren.
A Lincoln Legend
With approval from "The Boss", the Continental build continues as a custom blue color, V12 engine and green light from a living legend are added. Dave wants a new car hauler and enlists RMD garage for help.
Land of 10,000 Bitchin' Rides
Kevin and Dave gear up for the biggest car show in America in St. Paul, MN. The 1929 Roadster is given away to one lucky contestant as Dave runs a sweepstakes to raise money for charity.
If It Was Easy, Anyone Could Do It
The shop's next challenge is a 1967 Chevelle with a Great 8 pedigree and high expectations. Dave learns the hard way that builds don't always go according to plan.
A Family Affair
The entire Kindig family works to give Charity's father the retirement gift of a lifetime: a '57 Corvette. However, getting the kids motivated to help is easier said than done. Then, a '67 Malibu gets an AC repair.
It's Getting Hot in Here
The last car show of the season arrives, and the shop pulls out all the stops to take home the gold. The Fairlane and the Nomad get extra attention, and Dave and Kevin check out the best cars in Reno, NV.
The Future is Now
A client secretly buys a '32 Roadster for his wife's birthday and ships it to the shop for mechanical upgrades and style changes. A 2004 Hummer arrives and Dave is tasked with re-designing the car as if it's being built in 2020.
The Secret Client
Dave is tasked with finding and transforming a 1967 GTO for a secret client from South Africa. Dave buys back one of his first builds, a Karmann Ghia, but doesn't know what he'll do with it when he gets it back on the road.
GT...OHHH HELL YEAH!
Tanzanite blue paint, redline wheels and a custom interior come together to complete Dave's initial vision on the 1967 GTO. A Chevelle arrives for a small, but poignant, and cool upgrade.
We Build Bitchin Rides
Dave and the team at Kindig-It Design start a new year with a one-of-a-kind build they have never attempted before, a 1964 Ranchero. The car looks to have had a lot of work done, but what's underneath the metal sets the team back.
24 Karat Magic
The Ranchero build is an epic achievement for the whole team, though Dave can't be sure the client will see it the same way. He also struggles to find the perfect name for the perfect car.
The Little Sister
A Canadian father-daughter team wants the crew to build a little a little sister for one of Dave's favorite earlier projects, the '65 Safari Bus. Plus, a 2017 Cadillac CTS-V comes to the shop fresh off the showroom floor.
A Caldera-What?
An old build is back for new customizations, an interior revamp and a new name. With Kevin headed out of town, Dave tries to sneak a new and personal project through the doors.
The Hummer of the Future
A new client asks Dave to envision a future where the Hummer H2 continued to be produced, and to build what that car might look like 20 years in the future. It's out with the old and in with the new, as Kevin leads the charge.
Fiberglass, Fiberglass and More Fiberglass
One of Dave's all time favorite designs is the Mercedes Gullwing, and a client arrives with a kit version of the car. But the team needs to address a number of flaws while trying to get as close to the original as they can.
The Snowball Episode
A '41 Chevy that has bounced around numerous shops rolls in for an easy trunk-lid fix, but things go south quickly. As if the crew wasn't busy enough, they kick off a road tour and the garage turns into an ER for broken-down cars.
Green for the Money
Every inch of the Mercedes Gullwing has finally been addressed, and the car comes to an epic conclusion. But questions and challenges remain. Which color will be just right? Will the doors actually function?
Where's the Gold, Paulie?
A car doesn't always need to be built from the ground up to be considered Bitchin', exactly the case with this 1955 Nomad. The team swaps the chassis and upgrades its performance, which will give this car the edge it was missing.
Dave Kindig, Guest Judge
Car show season is always a big time of year for the crew, but a show in Stockton, California, has an interesting request. Along with bringing some builds to the show, they want Dave to be a judge and to present a special award.
Veruca Violet
A Corvette enthusiast wants a huge LSX engine and a larger transmission for his 1963 Corvette. He also wants to ditch the side pipes and develop a one-of-a-kind, stand-out paint color.
Little Red Corvette
A collector shares a birth year with his 1962 Corvette, and asks Dave to improve some of its limitations. They'll stretch the car four inches, move the gas tank and make some other necessary changes.
The Last Mopar
Four years ago, Vinnie Massaro, brought his Charger to Kindig-It Design looking for some minor improvements, and what he got absolutely blew him away. Now he's back to build the biggest, baddest Mopar on the planet.
The Bitchin Coronet
The 1967 Coronet build continues as the metal work comes to an end and the car moves into the paint booth. Vinnie wanted to go all out on this build and Dave has done some of his most innovative design work to date.
Finish What You Start
Delayed by numerous issues and setbacks, the 1941 Chevy is finished in the metal shop and ready for paint. Fresh paint, new wiring and custom interior take this problem build to the next level.
Lean Mean Green Machine
Dave has a challenge on his hands restoring a 1964 Cadillac to its original condition while adding modern updates. Parts are scarce and the car's current state leaves a lot to restore.
Getting Jiggy With It
C10s are all the rage these days, and the team Kindig is adding their own touches to finish this truck off properly. From a tubbed bed to slivered Camaro bumpers, Dave makes subtle but groundbreaking changes to a classic.
Car Show to the Stars
Prior to the annual classic car show in Los Angeles, the guys need to shake down a 1962 Corvette and make some design adjustments to a '55 Mercedes Gullwing. Kevin hunts for new ideas, rare finds and maybe some Hollywood stars.
The Last Frontier Cuda
A road warrior from Alaska arrives at the shop to add some improvements to an already solid build. To enhance performance, a new exhaust and tips are custom fabricated as well as a new set of wheels, tires and a custom interior.
Cut, Replace, Repeat
A simple yet classy Pontiac Tempest arrives for a ground-up build. From the outside, it looks like the team can get right to the customizing, but after the car is completely stripped, things are more complicated.
Temptress
The Pontiac Tempest build continues as bodywork wraps up and Dave has designed a killer new color. Kevin shows off his powder-coating skills, and the client has a tough decision to make on the color combo for the interior.
Finally!
Dave has finally secured a buyer for the '48 GMC truck. He's a truck nut who wants to finish the build properly, with a color change, custom trim and new interior design. Hopefully, the guys can pick up right where they left off.
It's 1200 Miles to Columbus, and We've Got a Trailer Full of Bitchin' Rides
Dave and Kevin take the '67 Coronet, '55 Gullwing and '63 Corvette to a car show in Columbus, Ohio, where they'll compete for Muscle Machine of the Year. The cars need to complete a road course and be judged on the build.
Dave's New Toy
Dave loves anything VW, and he finds a deal for a rare Transporter pickup that is too good to pass up. With a few modifications, he will finish the build, but then his real dilemma begins - whether to keep it or auction it.
Updating a Classic
A beauty of a car from Kindig’s past arrives back in the shop for an engine upgrade. Dave and Kevin make a trip to Detroit to see the latest technology at Lingenfelter engine builders, and check out the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Back Again...
A Karmann Ghia aficionado wants some very specific upgrades for his new purchase. Custom trim, wheels, lowered stance, new paint and new upholstery are some of the items that will give this car a new lease on life.
The Do-It-Yourself Nova
The pieces that have arrived at the shop are allegedly for a Nova, but the only thing recognizable is the body. The challenge will be to piece car back together and get the body ready so the client can paint it himself.
Stop and Go
A client wants his '48 GMC to be Dave's baddest build ever, but when he throws Dave a curveball, it threatens the entire project. Celebrating 20 years in business, Kindig-It hosts a custom car show featuring a slew of past builds.
Let the Chef Cook
Dave and the crew start on a 1966 Corvette, but one major challenge lies ahead for Dave the designer -- he is up against a client who is adamant that he doesn't want the color of the car to be anywhere close to the original green that it came in.
Let's Make Green Great Again
After some intense color development, the client is on board with the shade of green Dave has come up with, and the car moves into the paint booth. The client has only seen the color on a swatch, but will he fall for it when he sees it in person?
Easy Does It
A returning client is back with another classic, a 1965 Mustang Fastback. He likes to keep a stock look, but with updated drivetrain, instrumentation and as many modern amenities as possible. Plus, the assembly team gets a crash course in engine tuning.
Thank You for Your Service
An active-duty serviceman has spent years working with his father to get their 1951 Ford pickup built. They are ready to get it finished once and for all, and the crew will stretch the cab, redesign the front end and add Kindig's patented hourglass bed.
Unfinished Business
The 1951 Ford pickup is painted and ready for final assembly. The team encounters problem after problem trying to get it ready for a serviceman who is returning from a year away in a war zone.
Fireproof
After recovering from a terrible accident where his '32 Ford caught fire, a local business owner wants to see the car fixed as well. Diagnosing the fire damage and what caused it is job #1. Plus, a 1967 Mustang arrives with a nasty engine vibration.
Fastback Fever
Dave designs a Mustang for the ages to compete in the Optima Challenge, which involves running the car on a track as well as in a traditional car show. The build includes a new front facia and hood, tucking in the bumpers and redesigning the rear end.
Challenge Complete
The 1965 Mustang makes its way thru the metal shop and is now ready for paint and final assembly. However, this is one of the more intricate cars the shop has ever built, and making it function will test even the Kindig crew.
Once in a Lifetime
From an early age, Dave Kindig would cut up hot wheels, mixing and matching parts to create his own cars. 20-plus years later, he has decided that the time is right to design his own concept car from scratch.
It's Alive!!
All the Concept Corvette's elements are built and assembled, but to call the experiment a success, Dave needs to find a buyer. Also, a rock 'n' roll icon brings his 1934 Ford coupe to the shop to complete a project 25 years in the making.
Just a Couple Heres and Theres
A simple repaint of a 1964 Corvette careens into much more when Dave upsells the client on a couple of design features, and the crew finds some damage underneath the original paint. Also, the owner of an iconic Ford GTX1 tasks Dave with solving a dilemma.
Back From the Dead
An abandoned '67 C10 build that has been sitting in the back of the shop for years has been sold to a client. He wants a few new touches, and everything is looking aces until a closer inspection reveals more work under the surface that needs to be done.
That's Never Been Done
With the C10's body issues solved, Dave convinces the client to make the truck into a convertible. Fabricator Will Lockwood will have to figure out how. Plus, Kevin takes on a new personal project, slamming a Cadillac Escalade on a new chassis design.
The Convertible C10
So far, the engineering behind the convertible C10 works in theory, but making it work in practice is the next step. A father-daughter team bring in a replica 1967 Cobra that is having engine trouble, but Kindig's new dyno is ready to save the day.
'Mueller? 'Mueller?
Of all the different years and generations of the VW Bug, there is one that stands out among the rest -- the Hebmueller. There are maybe 200 of them left, so in addition to being hard to find, they are truly the holy grail of VWs.
The Holy Grail, But Customized
The build continues, and the challenge is to keep what makes the car a Hebmueller intact, while taking bold steps to turn it into a hot rod. Dave keeps the traditional two-tone exterior, but modifying it to an automatic is a huge test for the shop.
Meet Judge KevDogg
Normally when Kindig-It Design attends a car show, their cars are the ones being judged. But this time around, Dave and Kev hold the keys and will have to select the top 10 builders out of the hundreds of cars that arrive for the show.
Restorations? We're Talking 'Bout Restorations?
Dave's clients have owned a car since they got married 25 years ago and want it restored so they can enjoy it for another 25. While the shop isn't really into straight restorations, adding some custom pieces and paint makes them "say yes" to the project.
It's a Barn Door Deluxe, Of Course
Once again, Dave is thrilled with the latest build, while KevDogg is barely lukewarm. Dave has done double-cab VWs, Bugs, and Karmann Ghias, but now he is taking on something completely different -- and even more rare.
The Big Brother
Matching the two-tone paint job is the challenge of the day as the '53 Barn Door Deluxe build carries on. Custom trim, a new, more powerful engine, 22 windows and a custom interior all come together to make this surprise worth the wait.
Who Gets Number One?
Dave and the guys at Kindig-It proved they could execute Dave's vision of his production Corvette, but now that a few have sold, they have to get them completely finished. The buyers vying for car #1 are a true Corvette aficionado and his best friend.
Introducing the Kindig CF1
In a special 100th episode, Dave and the team put the finishing touches on the first-ever Kindig CF Corvettes to complete a lifelong dream. However, the clients argue about who will get the first one, all in advance of a once-in-a-lifetime debut at SEMA.
How We Got Here
For over eight years, the metal masters of Kindig-It Design have entertained audiences and inspired automotive fans. Now, Dave and Kevin make their return to the SEMA show after a year away, with an ambitious plan of bringing 10 new builds to Las Vegas.
New York, New York
Dave and Kev take the show as far east as they have ever gone and head to Lake George, New York, for the Adirondack Nationals. The entire town shuts down for this car show, attracting the best of the best on the East Coast.
The Pantera of the Future
A 1970s Pantera is already an iconic sportscar, but once Dave gets his hands on it, the style will never be the same. The client has given Dave free rein to change the car as he sees fit, but has one request -- he is 6'4" and can't comfortably get in it.
Not So Subtle
The whole team agrees that the body mods are just right, but now the crew must make it a reality. Milestones like bulging out the fenders, creating a spider-shaped exhaust, executing the stretch and getting the car to body are on tap for this stage.
Strawberry Rolls Forever
Kindig-it Design is knee deep in a Pantera build when the owner throws a huge curveball. One of Dave's other clients is a Beatles fanatic, and he challenges Dave to paint his modern Rolls-Royce to match a car John Lennon commissioned in the late '60s.
Now That Is a Bitchin' Ride
The Bitchin' Pantera is just about done -- paint, assembly and upholstery sound easy, but nothing is simple with this project. While the team bears down on the Pantera, Dave and Kev get an opportunity to upgrade their semi rig that's too good to pass up.
How Hard Can a Hardtop Be?
A 1971 Chevy Nova with tremendous pedigree arrives at the shop to get classic Kindig-It styling cues. Most importantly, Dave wants to make this car into a hardtop. Tucked in bumpers, front valance and a new engine provide a good test for the crew.
The Gentleman's Hot Rod
Will makes miracles happen, and Dave decides to make a wholesale change to the car's color. Challenges mount at each stage of the build, and the upholstery shop changes up their routine as the client arrives for a reveal years in the making.
Just Pick a Color
While the shop has been perfecting its process in building the CF1s, word about the car has gotten out, and potential buyers are lining up. The latest client has a big problem -- he can't choose the perfect color combination.
Blue Suede Cruise
Dave and Kev take the show to the Midwest, as more than 2,500 cars descend on the Summit Motorsports drag strip for a weekend of fun, RPMs and bitchin' rides. Kev gets a ride in a lean, mean drag racing machine, while Dave steps up his autocross game.
A Bitchin' Mission
A client enlists Dave on a mission from God to make his dreams of a father/son road trip along Route 66 come true. He purchased a mechanically unsound reproduction of the Bluesmobile, and getting it road ready will be a test of the crew's mettle.
Starry Starry Night
A semi hauler comes in for a makeover, and since KevDogg's the resident truck expert, he takes center stage on the design and oversees the build. Not all of Kevin's crazy ideas make it to the final product, but one in particular will light up the night.
The Kindig Academy
Training next-generation car builders is near and dear to Dave's heart, and after years of planning, he's finally realized his passion project, the Kindig Academy. To kick off the school opening, the team throws a car show and has a friendly competition.
Is There Anything Good on It?
A '69 Camaro comes in, and when Dave and team get a closer look, they determine with the owner that it requires a full rebuild. And since the team will be starting from scratch, the client decides to go all-out on the chassis, engine and every detail.
Mean, Green and Bitchin'
With the Camaro's design firmed up, the build continues, but hits a roadblock when it comes to getting the engine dialed in just right. Dave has second thoughts about the color combination.
There's a Bolt in My Motor
What starts out as a simple engine repair slowly turns into a patented Kindig slippery slope, as a show-ready '35 Roadster V8 will require a full rebuild. The mechanical chops of the shop get pushed to the limit on this car.
Rumble in the Rockies
The shop hits the road with their freshest builds to check out and compete against the competition. Will and Dave's cousin Brad give their "unique" views on the cars they come across, and they team up to challenge Dave in an autocross to remember.
Super Charged and Super Secret
The 1955 Nomad is an iconic car, but the original power isn't enough for the current owner, who wants the guys to put a blower on to boost the power. A new project for a secret client arrives in pretty rough shape, but emerges ready to rumble.
Deadliest Car
A new client, Rick Mezich from "Deadliest Catch," tests Dave's design prowess on his CF1, while the upholstery shop shows off some of the new processes it has developed to streamline the builds.
Hum-Dinger
Off-road vehicles are few and far between at the shop, but when they do arrive, Dave and the guys love to go all out. This particular Hummer is getting a huge conversion from two-wheel drive to four-wheel, a new LS engine, interior and a fresh paint job.
Concours d'Ele-Bitchin'
The shop has a busy week prepping for the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Once in Vegas, Dave and Kev attend the first-ever concours d'elegance at the famous Wynn hotel and golf course, where their knowledge of cars will be pushed to its limits.
Everything But the Kitchen Sink
The shop is buzzing with activity, and the latest CF1 presents a new challenge for the guys as Dave makes modifications to the original. Then it's time for some fun when Dave announces they will be holding the shop's first annual pinewood derby.
Automotive Oasis
The competition at the last car show of the year is steep, as the 10 best cars from across the US descend on Scottsdale, Arizona, to separate the contenders from the pretenders. Also, Dave decides to restock his toolbox with help from his right-hand man.
A Rusty Mess
When a beat-up truck arrives at the shop, Dave knows the team will have its work cut out for them. But underneath all the rust lies a hidden gem, and Kindig-It has the green light to customize every inch, in what will be the biggest build of the season.
Heavy Metal
The guys must invent a new process to get the C10's tricky hood just right, but the body work on this truck is where the art of the build truly comes out. As work progresses, the assembly shop must clean out some old projects to make room for the truck.
The Bitchin' C10
The C10 moves into final assembly, and the upholstery shop puts on their finishing touches. Getting the bed to fit perfectly and dialing in the new air ride are a challenge, and the upholstery runs into one problem after another.
How Do You Say Bitchin' in Italian?
Good things come in small packages, and this 1967 Fiat fits the bill. Since it's not the typical car that comes in, Dave is excited by a new challenge. The build sheet includes making it a wide body, a more powerful engine, custom fender flares and more.
We've Gone Plaid
A loyal Kindig-It client has decided to jump on the latest trend -- he wants Dave to build him a show-off, off-road vehicle. After they get past the rust repair, it'll be new fender flares, engine and custom chassis for this 1974 Bronco.
A Bitchin' Off-Road Warrior
The Bronco's owner is lukewarm on Dave's radical idea for the interior. Dave wants to make his client happy, but must resist going too far with this build so they can actually enjoy it on dirt roads without feeling like they're beating up a museum piece.
New Engine, New Headache
While maybe not the most popular of models, the Fox Body Mustang is actually making a comeback, and the one that rolls into the shop needs a lot of love. The build list calls for a huge engine upgrade, new custom wheels, suspension and exhaust.
A Whole New Game
Dave has been interested in dipping his feet in the electric car world, and with his CF1s providing the perfect canvas, he's decided to take the plunge. Turning this into reality will take a new level of engineering and learning a new automotive language.
Benefit for the Basin
Dave has a soft spot for all kids in need. So when a car show in Oregon that benefits the local children's charity called, Dave eagerly said yes. The guys take the rig to the show, and there's a rumor that Kev may actually get a spot in the drag races.
I Love It
One of KevDogg's favorite cars has arrived in the form of a stock post Bel Air, and he will lead the charge on the build. When Kev's pride and joy takes a turn for the worse, he enlists the help of a local dealer to help him get the rig back on the road.
Kevin Hart's Challenger
Entertainer and car collector Kevin Hart's latest project is in the shop, and every square inch of the car is getting customized, from a futuristic front and rear end redesign to subtle but huge changes to the rear window and fenders.
I Hart Challengers
The fabrication for Kevin Hart's Challenger is complete, and now Dave is taking his futuristic theme into the dash and interior. A new custom color, flawless body work and seamless assembly are in store for this client who expects perfection.
Truck Heaven
It's no secret that while Kev can appreciate cars of all shapes and sizes, deep down he's a truck guy through and through. So when a truck show comes through town, KevDogg shows Dave what is what with all the great builds that have descended on Salt Lake.
The Outlaw Porsche
Dave's latest client wants him to outlaw a Porsche 356 A, which means a ton of modifications, including smoothed-out bumpers, louvered deck lid, through-the-hood fuel filler and more. But this will be a Bitchin' Outlaw and have the Kindig touch.
No Regrets
In high school, Dave's wife Charity drove the wheels off her '67 Chevelle. When the couple started their business, they sold the car with the hopes of one day getting another. That day is here, and the crew works to get it ready.
Labor of Love
The Chevelle makes it through paint and into the assembly area, where it comes back to life. New upholstery gives the car the real upgrade it needs, and just like that, Dave is the hero of the family again.
The Next-Gen CF1
Since launching the project in 2021, Dave Kindig's CF1 has been a smashing success. Never one to rest on his laurels, Dave has decided it's time to move on to the next generation of the car, and this one will be adding the option of a Carson top.
On the Road Again
KevDogg and Dave take the rig to the Triple Crown of Rodding show in Nashville. This is one of the few shows they've attended in the South, and they are chomping at the bit to check out all of the local builders, and of course get into some shenanigans.
A Week In the Life
A week in the life of a shop like Kindig-It Design is a mix of beauty and chaos. A look at one week from Monday to Friday includes multiple stories of what actually happens behind the scenes of the show, along with all the projects underway that week.
A Classic and a Unicorn
A '55 Bel Air that hasn't been run in over 10 years arrives to get off the lift and back on the road. While the shop is bustling, a unicorn project arrives in the form of a 2002 Ferrari 360 Spider in need of a new canvas top.
7 Cars, 4 Days, 1 Bitchin' Event
The shop is gearing up for the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and this year Dave is bringing seven cars. Once the cars are readied, placed in their booths, and the show is running, the guys get a chance to check out some of the new builds at the show.
The Bitchin' Bel Air
From the outside, this '57 Bel-Air has all the markings of a classic, but a closer inspection reveals rust in the rockers, sloppy gaps and damaged trim. While fixing up the obvious, the customer also wants a bigger engine, which means a lot of other work.
The Color Question
Dave tries to come up with a one-of-a-kind color that incorporates the client request to get purple into the build. Body work, assembly and some nifty mechanical work get this car in great working condition, but the interior needs a complete overhaul.
